Some power outages here, a pole came down at the bottom of the hill near my house, they're out there now putting in a new one. The wind picked up and with the snow coming down fairly hard and the snow blowing off the trees I was 50 feet from my street and I couldn't see 10 feet in front of me, I had to wait until the gust calmed down to see.

The roads are horrendous, haven't remeasured but at least 10 out there now.

Was outside for the majority of the morning. One observation was all the branches which came down was in a one hour period. As the dew point fell the water seemed to be getting sucked out of the snowpack on the trees and drying out the snow. Haven't heard many shotgun blasts lately. A good size branch about 11 foot long grazed my truck but the snow saved me from any scratches dents

I have the same experience here. My property is lined with White Pines and every one of them has many snapped limbs. I have been out cutting and dragging limbs for hours and there is still more to do. Just came in for a lunch break. The roof rake is handy for loosening up the pack on the stressed limbs.

The sound of the snapping is intense when you are standing under the tree.

I just imagine Corey's neighbors watching in perplexity as he runs around his yard beating his trees with a stick and shaking his fist at the vengeful heavens.

Jerry - It's a 2nd. I am more impressed by October 2011 than Any Snowstorm in my life outside of April Fool's Day, though sometimes I think it was even More impressive. But yes - I HATED every flake in that Storm. My #1 Objective in life is about Trees and the Environment. Snow has to come underneath.

Yes - I Literally just ran around other people's yards helping their trees.

Note that Harvey, Searles, WPRI and others are retweeting my call to the world to do the same. It's Vital. Go help the Evergreens!
