Even had some nice flakes fallen at the house when I got home ~6:15. I wish I could have seen the heavier stuff that Granville county had, but can't be greedy. downeastnc Posted January 5, 2016 Share Posted January 5, 2016 working nights this week so I just went out to "lunch" and its easily the coldest air since last Feb, temp is 28 but the wind is still up and the wind chill is in the upper teens.....it also sucks that our parking lot at work is due south of the main building by a good 200-300 yrds so that's a long walk with the wind in your face. downeastnc Posted January 5, 2016 Share Posted January 5, 2016 Parts of the northern OBX are under a WWA for accumulating snow from the bay effect band, some reports seem to indicate at least a .5-1 " covering roads etc......27 here with the wind still gusting into the 20's wind chills have been mid teens.....
