The GEFS looks horrible long range. It actually deepens the Alaskan vortex even more, super +EPO and floods all of Canada with PAC maritime air, also -PNA and a full latitude trough in the west

It is possible the ensembles are slow to adjust. It's just too early to predict the second half of Demember IMO.

Guarantee we won't hear you bullish on snow or cold til the first flakes fly anyone who reads the board knows your fetish with this niño and hope that it brings warm and little snow so you can say you saw it all along

I'm really not sure he'd ever be bullish on snow or cold. But hey, maybe I'm wrong.

The pattern will still be mild regardless of the AO/NAO phase as long as long as that

trough stays put over the SW US.

yep.   Look at Upton's forecast (my point/click) for the next week-dry/mild/boring for us.  Need something to pull that trough east.

WINDS AROUND 5 MPH IN THE EVENING...BECOMING LIGHT AND VARIABLE.

 

.SUNDAY...SUNNY. HIGHS IN THE UPPER 50S. WEST WINDS 5 TO 10 MPH. 

we actually had a couple days in October that were colder!
