Clouds waited until after 6pm to clear out. Clear skies with temps dropping. Currently 65/60. Feels good outside. Would stay outside but mosquitos are bad right now but windows are open finally.

Might be a good idea to buy some stock in Off Deep Woods. Mosquitos are going to be at Biblical proportions in this state in a few days. And with no hint of a killing frost on the horizon they look to be around awhile  :yikes:

I don't remember any mosquitos in the Bible.  But I'm willing to learn.  :)

LOL - it needs to be chopped back; we've been keeping it about 4', but it kinda got away from us this summer.

Yeah, I let mine grow over the summer and there are window boxes behind them. Cut them down about 2-3 ft, so you can actually see the planters, and just do some pansies and weeping pansies and violas! Check out the the green leaf form , with white flowers, lorapetalums! I have a variety called " Carolina Moonlight" just as tough as purple kind!

Currently 64 and clear!

Today's 'Mostly Sunny' didn't pan out at all, although the temp still got up to the forecast high of 81. Still a nice day, but a little more humid than recent days.

Snowstorm11, is that you?? :)

Hit 82 today with p/c skies! The rain totals creeping up for Sat, is a bit concerning! The last thing anyone in SC needs is .5-1.0+ rainfall!

Will be interesting to see how the front just moving out of KY/TN/WV holds together through the mountains tonight.

Tomorrow is looking kinda raw around here...

Saturday
Showers, mainly after 7am. Temperature rising to near 65 by 8am, then falling to around 57 during the remainder of the day. North wind 7 to 11 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New precipitation amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.

We very rarely get the falling temps during the day here, even during the strongest of cold fronts!

There always seems to be a 12 hour lag , with the air being held up by the mountains. GSPs discussion said the storms will fall apart tonight in the mountains and redevelop in the piedmont . Made it to 82 today, ready to kiss the 80s goodbuy until April!

Looks like Myrtle Beach is in the crosshairs...

A line of heavy rain and thunderstorms associated with a cold front is pushing across the eastern U.S. this evening (top figure). A low pressure center is forecast to form along the front, resulting in enhanced rainfall over South Carolina this weekend where a couple of inches could fall (bottom figure).
