Watching the radar returns disintegrate as they reach the Beltway is something else.

Well he was right about DCA all along so maybe he's right about the corn fuel.

At least we broke the dry streak. :P

At least everyone from north Baltimore to Boston got crushed. Great practice for winter lol.

75 with a few sprinkles here in Fort Washington. Ground is dry and rock hard.

0.92" in the rain gauge so far. Was torrential driving the last few miles. Got a pretty cool pic as I was driving and approachng the edge of the storm that was essentially over my house, a few miles to the NE.

Doesn't rain here that much, but when it does we get Bullsyed, downpour with T & L from like 12:20pm to 1:40pm in Mays Chapel, about 1.50" at home.

NAM has an interesting temperature evolution Thursday. The front passes through the area during the morning, and winds shift to north and are enforced as the sfc low to our southeast establishes itself. With rain and advection of rain-cooled air, temps drop into the 60s (with the drop progressing to the south and east) and even low 60's during the afternoon with upper 50's along the Mason-Dixon Line. The NAM may be a bit overdone with how chilly it will get, but I suspect it's not too far off.

I'm thinking the nam needs 1 more upgrade and then it's good to go for winter.

Stupid Windows 10.  Ever since I upgraded it likes to delete the last word I type sometimes.

Avoiding it. Sticking with 8.1, despite the issues. At least I generallly know what they are.

.80" on the day.  I guess I shouldn't complain compared to what others didn't get.  Temp down to 64.

Nice pic, CAPE.

Thanks. I was admiring it as I drove home, hoping it was moving towards mby lol. I did pull over to take the photo, and then drove into it a few minutes later. I dont know if its the generally flat landscape or what, but I seem to get some cool views of summertime storms here, more so than I remember when I lived up in your neck of the woods.

Ended up with 0.97" for the event.

Overall it's fine.  Just do the custom install and turnoff all of Microsoft's intrusive "helpful" apps and it's fine.
