Yep, unless things build SW in Wisconsin, I will shoot the gap. No complaints as I got the best of the derecho this morning.

The wisco line is building SW...still another severe ce'll NE of LaCrosse...also...the OFBs are lighting up on the 88 corridor...plenty of opportunities throughout LOT still imo

Watching towers go up in an arc SE to W of the southside. Impressive, easily discernible rapid expansion. Watched the one to the southeast billow up and over like a mushroom cloud before the one directly south pillowed out and obscured it. Excellent vino bucket porch viewing.

taking the dog down to the beach to tower watch

Kind of underwhelming to this point. With such high helicities and CAPE as well as solid lapse rates you would think we should have a legit tornado outbreak happening across IL and IN

Brett Adair said something interesting on his live feed earlier "this is the warmest RFD I have ever felt it needs to be cooler"

not sure if it is related to the lack of tornadoes so far or where he was going with that

Dumping buckets of rain, as storm over IKK is back-building. Combined with things upstream (to the NW) also headed this direction...going to put up a big rainfall total tonight. :(

watching what falls upstream here for the illinois river flooding ...we crested here at 27.1 i think last week (flood stage 18 record 29.5)  which was a top ten....the river has only fallen to 23  feet  , currently 24 feet and new crest is back up to 25.3ish but that will go higher again if he get training along/just south I-80 north of me

what is your total rainfall since june 1st up there?

Been dodging storms all evening, but time to pay the piper as two cells have merged and are about to move thru IKK. Vicious looking sky right now to the west...

Had some quarter size hail west of Herscher.

See golf ball report from Herscher sounds about right.

It was at least half dollar size.
