87storms Posted June 9, 2015 Share Posted June 9, 2015 was driving in the middle of the monsoon around 8pm. some of the puddles to the side of the road on bradley blvd were diesel, even in my jeep. we must have gotten at least an inch of rain in the half hour it was pouring. I was too. Storm decided to go all beast mode on me as I was walking to my car from the pharmacy. Drenched within 10 seconds. Was driving earlier and rate this top 15 worst driving rainstorms ever. 20-30mph speed on beltway, few gusts to 40, very dark, some swirling clouds, lots of moderately deep standing water. That cell at about 9:00 last night did get pretty loud. Thank God we had that Severe Thunderstorm Warning and the Tornado Watch. Vigilance.
