Total from this morning's monsoons -- 4.56"! Just torrential downpours. Heaviest rains of the summer, for sure. Air is still soupy, but temps are in the comfortable zone.

72/64

Wow.  That would probably fill up my pond in one AM.  My 1.10" provided the first slight runoff in a couple months.  Ground layer is now saturated so if I could muster up another storm this PM or eve the water would run into my drainage system and actually put water in my pond which is dry for the first time in years. Did get a puddle in the pond however.  Anvil clouds have moved east and now broken Cu with the base about 500 over my head.

Looks like on radar a wind shift off the water is coming through Boston and points North...that may limit any convection in Northeast mass.  Wind in Lawrence has shifted to due east.

Looks like it has reached 128/90 intersection west of Boston and just past 93 up to the New Hampshire border.  That could be the focus of something west of that boundary.

Of course just as I write that, something pops on the east side of the boundary    :axe:

I need to stick to coding and not forecasting

This is a time where a BDL TDWR would be nice. Decent storms for late August in these parts. Those storms near the VT/NH/MA border could take advantage some slightly enhanced low-level shear as they move east.

Tell me about it!

I wish they not only had a TDWR but launched balloons...at least on days with possible severe weather.

Sucks too b/c ENX is down
