The chief reason they dump a lot of salt on roads before a big storm is not so-much so it doesn't stick right away. It's so that it's far easier to plow off later, cause the salt is supposed to work to create a bond/barrier that prevents a layer of ice forming underneath the snow. But doesn't always work out as planned.

I actually think that they over-salted the other night when we only had a coating, and the roads were left snow-white because of it.

Music music music to my ears. That's the only thing I'm concerned about honestly. 

 

Very impressive to see snow falling with these temps. Did we have anything like this last season? If not, this is my coldest snow since being in SNE.

It must be we don't get cold smoke too often for a lengthy period. 18 at DCA with a south wind, 12 at Dulles. :P

 

We might get deformed. Playing the fringer game.
