18 here in Davis.  The main squall dropped viz to 50 feet and it was hard to walk.  Seems like it dumped quite a bit of snow, though impossible to measure because of drifting.  Now moderate snow.  I imagine it will snow all evening.  Curious if we get into heavier bands again.  Lighting reported close by.

There's a reason they get 2 to 3 times our climo even well east of the mountains

 

Here's another point to ponder as I bask in my warm, summery 45 degrees this fine spring evening: Many trees in N VA are 65 feet tall. That's my elevation above the Atlantic. Our mild, healthful climate is another major reason why Dale City is growing faster than California did in the 1850s during the Gold Rush
