It's just ripping out there.  Even shocked it's going on this long...I thought we would be done much earlier...also why I went lower.  Looked like models worked in drier air aloft during the early afternoon but I guess not.

What an utter pummeling! Every time it drops to moderate it picks back up. Banding looks sweet for maybe another few hours. 18 would be amazing and indeed possible.

I say yes, 18" will happen. We're already at what, 14 ish? At least 2 more hours of this stuff to go and that plus some light stuff on the end will do it.

As of 3:35PM. Brunswick ME. 7.2" of snow. We were at times snowing at 2.2" per hour. 

 

Looking at the radar here comes another heavy band. We have been filling in for awhile to keep us at SN- to SN. Now back to SN+ here at this time of post. 

 

Looks like that heavy snow is rotating up this way.  Would be nice to get under that for at least a couple hours.
