Low level moisture was not great in this so the squalls aren't going to be as prolific. The fact we got a half respectable line of snow showers at all is a win for E MA today.

LL moisture was the one ingredient missing to make this a classic WINDEX heavy snow squall event.

Yeah it under performed up here, but still grabbed around 1.5" of arctic sand today in town with up to 4" at 3,000ft...but definitely lower than what BTV was thinking as they had a 4.4" forecast for town and 5-8" at the big hill down the road.

Still though a nice wintery appeal with flakes in the air all day. MVL reporting -SN continuously since 9:30am this morning.

Man this is how you do an arctic cold shot. It is pure arctic tundra out there. Snow packed roads, falling and blowing snow sifting through the streets in waves as road salt is useless at these temps, snow blowing off roof-tops creating mini-cornices...just pure winter as boots and tired squeak under the cold dense arctic snow.
