* PRIMARY THREATS INCLUDE...
SEVERAL TORNADOES AND A COUPLE INTENSE TORNADOES LIKELY
WIDESPREAD LARGE HAIL AND ISOLATED VERY LARGE HAIL EVENTS TO 2.5
INCHES IN DIAMETER LIKELY
SCATTERED DAMAGING WINDS AND ISOLATED SIGNIFICANT GUSTS TO 80
MPH POSSIBLE

Again, really strong wording for a non-PDS/high risk. Hoping the media outlets are doing an adequate job conveying the threat to the public despite the lack of the PDS/high risk label.

I don't get the lack of PDS designation w/90-60 probs.  I thought 60 for EF2+ was a threshold for PDS designation.

I'm in Topeka as well, there's a remote chance that something pops up along the dryline, but the general model consensus seems to be that we're done for the day.

pretty obvious at this point that no redevelopment is going to occur along the dryline in KS... Bummer. Still had a glimmer of hope that something would get going due to return of instability with the clearing behind the morning storms... Subsidence I suppose? Confused as to what is missing for redevelopment...

Issuance of PDS is subjective...not objective.  From SPC FAQ:

The "particularly dangerous situation" wording is used in rare situations when long-lived, strong and violent tornadoes are possible. This enhanced wording may also accompany severe thunderstorm watches for exceptionally intense and well organized convective wind storms. PDS watches are issued, when in the opinion of the forecaster, the likelihood of significant events is boosted by very volatile atmospheric conditions. Usually this decision is based on a number of atmospheric clues and parameters, so the decision to issue a PDS watch is subjective. There is no hard threshold or criteria. In high risk outlooks PDS watches are issued most often.

They might upgrade portions of the central/eastern parts of the watch and points slightly to the east of watch 97 later into a new PDS tornado watch, perhaps.
