It just seems like all signs are pointing to where it may, operative-word "may" be cooler than normal. Although we may see temp swings heat and cool. So while "90 degree days on half a hand" may be a bit silly, it does seem as if they won't be as frequent as in some years. And yes, I know that "average" is 81-85, so that should be expected. I got married on Saturday and you couldn't have asked for better conditions. Congratulations! While I'm not going to have the perfect weather you had, I'm just hoping for a 2 hour window, on Friday. I'm getting married on Friday at Brodhead Creek Park at 1:00 PM. The weather sites are giving conflicting info, and I was hoping one of you might be able to give me the scoop on what the chances of rain might be between noon and 2:00 pm on Friday. Frequent lightning, loud cracks of thunder, and 0.82" in 45 minutes in the gauge and counting. At one point the rainfall rate was 5" per hour. Despite the radar height at this distance from CCX only able to see down to 6800 feet, I'd be confident on saying there's likely something on the ground with this. +60kt in v.-60kt outbound. Top right frame is the estimated hail size based off of the VIL products (3.26" max in that frame). Bottom left is the Correlation Coefficient product which is showing that the radar beam is getting some major distortion downstream from the cell as it hits the hail inside the cell. I'll be curious to see what kind of hail damage pics come out of there. CTP facebook is posting hail damage pics from the tornadic storm in Danville and they're impressive.
