I looked at your post and was like, "wha???".  Then I looked outside.  Confirmed. 

 

 

Not reaching the ground here yet, but it's obviously close as the planes flying into BWI are being obscurred as they descend.  Kinda neat actually

Corroborating with the SPC said, it looks like some really good frontogenetically induced banding (due to deformation and confluence) is occurring as far as the northern edge of the precipitation shield in southern Ohio. Folks in the DC metro area should be able to see these type of bands for the next 6-12 hours which could locally enhance rates.
