Just as front passed through - precip became convective just east of us (line from Boone through east of Spartanburg). Fun to see... but, our 'participation' is over. Shows decent snow on radar. 50 miles east of there... here its sleet showers with snow. The moisture is too shallow to be all snow. Even kind of hard for some radars to see. But once the ULL escapes from the mountains the bands should go vertically allowing snow to become the dominate ptype. Via water vapor its doing that. Shows decent snow on radar. idk about Martinsville, but it finally started snowing here in Eden. It was a light snow to start and it has started falling faster with larger flakes.
