Looking towards you for what's to come here... that band edging onto the S Shore could very well be 4"/hr.

Sadly, also looking to you to signal when the taint is coming.

The dual pol looks pretty encouraging actually. At the same speed as now, the R/S line might not really make it here until 9:30-10am. At this rate, who knows what we'll have by then, at least half a foot. OMG is it coming down right now. I'd say I have 2-2.5" new snow.

Smithtown, NY (north shore of Suffolk County)

7:230AM Snow has become moderate to heavy on the past few minutes.  The temperature continued a steady clib all night ntil 6:00AM when it peaked at 31.4  Currently 30.7F.  There is a good breeze blowing with more of an easterly component at times than our previous snowstorms.  It is still basically northeast but direction seems a little variable.

Haven't been out but it looks like about 2".
