What??? That doesn't even make sense

Are u saying if I get 0.4" of ice from ZR it sees that as 4" of snow?

Sadly yes. Use the RAP Meteograms I posted a few posts ago those are more effective in depicting precip types. Not sure how to switch up the location. Anyone have a link to the RAP?

Last thoughts. Over the next couple hours when you're in areas of lighter precip expect a change from snow to sleet. When it gets heavier, expect mostly snow. We all (not the mid hudson valley) change over to sleet or freezing rain as the mid levels really warm towards the morning rush.
