Hopefully we cool dynamically quickly -- if there is any time of day to do it, it's in the middle of the night.

 

Precip looks to be breaking out quickly, as is typical in overperforming events (this seems similar to a storm in January of 2011 where we saw post-dawn overrunning that was unforecasted). 

 

That may not translate into big totals early on given temps, but it is something to keep an eye out for. Wonder what time we change over -- maybe 3-4AM?

 

It looks like the morning rush hour will be a disaster metro-wide, at this point.

38 DP 32. The 1st 2 or so hours of drizzle isn't making you lose much precip

Once the heavier rates start , it doesn't take anyone more than 2 hours to go right to 0c.

I would think by 4 or 5 am u see the changeover

Under the heavy stuff, temps should go isothermal 32 from 850 to surface quickly.
