Not expecting much in the way of accumulations tonight/tomorrow, perhaps a dusting of fresh snow.

Still have spots in my backyard with 4-5", deck/driveway is clear and a spot in the corner where I have two large pine trees has grass beneath them. Nice to still have a decent snow pack

just heard from my cow-orkers, areas just outside the Wyoming valley had 8 to 12 inches of snow. We had 5 inches plus ice. IT seemed like the NWS was determined to not hoist a warning in our area. In my experience, people take a warning to heart where an advisory is ignored.

Looking for the 2 + tonight and maybe a day off from work...

CTP AFTERNOON DISCO

The quantitative precipitation forecast will still be limited by the fast movement of the system and
the dryness of the northern stream in general. There will likely be some
areas that pick up 3-4 inches of snow...especially across The
Laurels...and more so across the middle and lower susq valley and
points east
where a quickly developing secondary surface low just south of
NYC and a belt of moderately deep/strong uvvel will enhance
convergence along a slow-moving inverted trough.

This scenario and anticipated snowfall amounts place US right on the
teetering Point of issuing a Winter Weather Advisory for later
tonight into Tuesday morning. We/ll be discussing this issue with
neighboring weather forecast offices over the next few hours.

This is taking a perfect track for someone in PA... we wont get the higher qpf that the coastal areas will but will get better ratios...and someone along the meso band that sets up along that trough convergence zone will probably get a nice surprise...but its very hard to predict the exact location of that.  It usually ends up being a relatively narrow area like 30 miles wide that gets 3-5" and everyone else gets a general 1-2.

Pottsville got one of those a few years ago. They got about 6 inches if I remember correctly.
