There should be winter weather advisories issued for the immediate Philly area, especially since we have a big Eagles game being played today. At least a simple winter weather advisory being issued to let folks know of the slick travel. This advisory should already be out for now and really communicates to the public about driving safely out there.

There was a Monday night game against Seattle a few years ago (Shaun Alexander ran all over them) - no accumulating snow - but it was coming down pretty steadily.

Of course there was "the blizzard" that postponed the Minnesota game in 2011.

Just about to mention that Seahawks game. It was 2006 or 2007. Anyway ...

12z NAM is also a LOT juicier for our region, very interesting late trends 

 

Its picking up on some sort of frontogenesis feature it seems, the sim radar appearance as well as that overall max precip field depiction look like a frontogenetical induced mesoscale band, sometimes those can develop up on the northern edge of these WAA systems...I wouldn't bank on it occurring but the HRRR/RAP also seem to see a signal for something in that same general region.
