After spending 15 minutes to get an accurate measurement, verified my 19" guess from earlier. It's not the best location, since it is around the side of a small cement box where the basement window is, but I have used it before for other storms and compared, and it's usually accurate to plus or minus an inch or so. Sent the 19" off to NWS, no reports from Stamford so far, and it also fits in with the general totals around my area. No more snow now, but wind is still going, and it's blowing and drifting like crazy.

Pictures: Full backyard shot, my footprints(and there is still a good 6-10 inches under them), and the measurement.'

Full backyard panorama(not much on the car,I was cleaning it throughout the storm, and I think the plow guy did the driveway over night...), footprints on the fresh snow, there is still 8 or so inches under them, and the final measurement(19", circled in blue). While my pics are not as epic as most, still thought they were worth sharing. More pics coming later!

Had power issues earlier..meant to get this out,,,,25" here in Augusta Maine..still have S to S+ with winds gusting over 38mph with more S+ bands of snow rotating down the Maine Coast... Amazing wx event for the Northeast.. A picture from our yard taken this morning. More later.

Shoveling was tough work - that 6"+ of concrete beneath the fluff was rough. That in addition to my entire back yard being a 30"+ drift makes for a sore back.

Here's some photos from around JP (part of Boston for those not familiar with the area), we probably were somewhere in the mid 20s for storm total but tough to get an exact number.

Things start really ripping about 1:30 into this. From my driveway, illuminated by brand new floodlights ...

The snow highlights fascinating patterns in the wind gusts, including at times the snow being driven with great force straight down into the surface. Perhaps one reason I "only" have 24" here as of noon (though still snowing moderately in an outside band that just won't quit).
