Overall rather impressive for our area I would say. I did not lose power or sustain any damage. Some small sticks / branches down but thats it.

Same here. With all the trees around my house I am pleased I did not lose power or have any tree damage.

I wonder if the low is over us right now because my winds are just about calm. I have steady rain but no wind.

Wind was not much of a factor down here. I think the strongest gust we had was in the 30 mph (or less) range. Around midnight or so the wind went dead calm and hasn't blown since. We also never lost power, probably for that reason.

That said we have now changed over completely to snow down here. There was a mixture this morning and some icing occurred, but now it is all snow. Ground far too warm still for it to stick yet.

How'd you end up down there? Hearing some good snow even in Morgantown

We needed landfall further north here...

Getting some light snow in Greensburg this morning 33 degrees (car thermometer), with a light dusting on the grass. Had some flakes mixing in yesterday afternoon here as well.

Didn't see any snow at home, it was 37 and rain when I left for work this morning.

Looks like right now Sandy's circulation is getting some precip enhancement from the lakes.

I have a feeling the current forecasts for the weekend are being a bit conservative. I wouldn't be surprised if some areas make it into the low 70s, especially on Sunday. Nice thoughts, as I sit here waiting for my car to defrost so I can go vote!

Wouldn't surprise me either. They usually are conservative early on for forecasts like this.
