Looks like you should be right in the middle of that very thin heavy band.

meh its sinking south fast so who cares.. could of had something decent if the stuff out west just continued east but in typical fashion what looks good west fails to deliver east. should be in the rant thread but IDGAF.

15Z SmartCast for Michigan areas around the Grand Rapids and Saginaw regions. Looking at 3-4" of additional snow through 03Z, with the heaviest snowfall occurring between 18-21Z. Rates of around 3/4" per hour possible, coupled with brisk winds up to 30mph and visibilities down to 1/4 to 1/2 mile in these regions. Full output uploaded http://smartwxmodel.net

Probably about an inch, maybe just over, in Geneva, Ill., with most of that having come in the last hour from a period of moderate to heavy snow. At least the ground is covered again. Definitely ripe conditions due to the fluffy nature of the snow for reduced visibilities from blowing snow. No doubt that there will be some icy patches on the rural highways.

Picked up over 1.25" of rain since midnight, really impressive to say the least. Including .60 in one hour.

DTW had 1.28" today, record for the date. 1.35" for the event total. WAY overperformed. High also overperformed at 53F. Currently 35 with flurries.

Imby I had 0.78" rain and now flurries, even almost all snow piles are gone from the weekends fluffy snows (saw a few isolated small piles left).

At least we escaped the big warm sector here. It was in the mid 30s most of the day with NE winds. The rain did wash away a lot of the previous snowcover though. It was down to patches prior to today's new snow.
