We are at a very crucial point for the young unvaccinated. It is literally a race now between vaccination and a new potentially deadly surge among our youth
this may be true, but unfortunately you will have those that continue stupid behavior (not following guidelines, wearing a mask, etc) and don't see the point on getting a vaccine for 'the sniffles' and therefore go about their lives while not realizing that because of science, that they can be spreading it...

So when should we go back to normal ? Never ?
Not when you say we should. Clearly.

We can't be living in fear for years
Same
No one is living in fear. This is what you crazies don't understand. It's not about fear, it's about respect for others and for the fact that I'm sure the majority of those there aren't vaccinated and therefore spreading it. This will not stop until that crap stops. Common sense.

Might have a shot at 80 here tomorrow if enough sun.
I saw smoke in the northern sky earlier and figured it was a brush fire. Did some investigating and turns out somebody drove into a gas pump and started a fire.

Wtf are you talking about
The point is we all have options. Instead of crying about something so trivial as wearing a mask because it is ‘required,’ no one is aging anyone has to go anywhere that is requiring such. Same as the vaccine ‘passport’ - don’t want to ‘deal’ with it, don’t go to a show.
Just so sick of people not willing to follow simple rules that science has proven to be effective.

So who is doing the “asking” in your statement? You?
You don’t have to go to a grocery store. Order online or email it in since wearing a mask is more painful than a hangnail.

There’s places you can live more suited to your preferred form of government.
Government isn’t requiring you to do anything if you don’t agree with it. Stupid is as stupid does.

Now we are complaining about a vaccine passport? First complain about masks, now that? Quit bitching and do what you’re asked, is that so tough?

The second moderna shot is a duesy! Literally lasted 24 hours of crappiness from hour 12-36 and then went away as quickly as it came on.

The mask thing I’ll never ever ever understand for the anger and reactions they create. I understand completely the lockdown opposition and even the vaccine resistance to some extent....but the sh*t fit some threw over wearing a mask some places in public is just beyond parody.

Thats because most likely the damage had already been done. Have to remember that there is a two week lag time. Then you have to account for people like yourself who refuse to take this seriously

I think the optics on this may end up not looking great. I would bet a penny that we will be rising with cases in IN in 2 weeks when the mandate is set to expire. Of course there will still be plenty of mask wearing beyond 4/6... the question is how much of a dip in mask wearing will there be.
This should go into effect after a certain % of the population has been vaccinated. Indiana isn't at 1 million yet fully vaccinated right? Thats what, 16%?

I’m still waiting on an explanation as to why something like wearing a mask is political

Saturday night through Thursday... Forecast Highlights: * Accumulating snow and travel impacts likely Sunday through Sunday evening, with some heavier snow rates possible * Snowfall amounts forecast 1-3", though a swath of 3-4" continues to appear possible north of I-80 * Pattern change to milder conditions, Monday through Wednesday, with snow and ice melt during the daytime There haven`t been any noteworthy changes in the forecast from the previous full issuance, with the focus on yet another round of accumulating snow on Sunday, this time a wetter snow than most of the events during this remarkable stretch. Saturday evening will be the last chilly (mainly teens) one for a bit coming out of departing high pressure. Cloud cover is a bit uncertain and will determine if some favored outlying spots can get colder than forecast lows. Temperatures should remain steady or slowly rise the rest of the night as warm advection ramps up in advance of Sunday`s system. A sharp short-wave trough will eject out of the Central Plains and induce a robust low-level wind response, further increasing warm advection and isentropic ascent. The warm advection pattern will also steepen mid-upper level lapse rates. Guidance remains in decent overall agreement in the big picture, a relatively weak surface low approaching from the west and then tracking across southern or central Lake Michigan. The NAM, as is fairly typical at this range, appears to be a bit of a stronger and farther north/northwest outlier with the synoptic system and surface low track. See some similarities in this set-up to that of February 4th, which had a couple rounds of heavy to very heavy snow despite a less than ideal surface low track. Aiding in this somewhat similar scenario will the extensive, deep snowpack across the entire region, and antecedent dry air mass aloft left in the wake of the departing surface high.

There's some shades of February 4th here. Not gonna lock in rates that heavy yet, but duration should be better. Definitely ingredients for heavy snow with very steep mid-upper lapse rates, strong forcing for ascent (and very strong omega well enough aligned with DGZ), and solid moisture.
lol... 5 weeks ago, we'd be losing it at this alone

Yet another reason that stupidity ignores.... It's not all just about you!
BTW, in that image of the Rangers video, I see two masks, and one of them is the guy that works there..... Unbelievable
