  1. Especially at night, in the Sahara anyway.
  2. And this is where your weather awareness can help - best results when temps are 80's/ 60's as opposed to 90's/70's, with no heavy rain the 1st week. Also don't let it dry out from about 3 days after seeding until it's 1/2" to 1" high (during germination). This probably applies more to a total reseeding on dirt.
  3. 94F was the high here, 88F currently. Plenty muggy.
  4. Lol I wonder if they're edible. Probably not. There have been a few showers here passing through or nearby, mostly glancing blows. 0.63" so far for the day.
  5. Yeah the radar still looks pretty healthy up your way and in N.J. Blue sky to the west getting ready to move overhead here. Maybe.
  6. That it is, picked up 0.47" of rain from it, and at the moment it's a relatively comfortable 73F here (DP 72).
  7. Some pretty vigorous activity with this line moving through here now, some wind, heavy rain, and a whole lot of lightning.
  8. Getting some showers and rumbles of thunder here now.
  9. Just had a quick pop up shower here - I thought it was wind at first then realized it was a wall of rain coming.
  10. Lol, could have been. Wound up with a few hundredths and a lot of lightning off to the north, could have been a lot worse.
  11. I opened up some ditch today and decided to leave it open overnite without putting the pipe in and back-filling. Some of it leads up to downspouts, lol. I made this decision partly out of being beat, and partly due to the radar/models, seems as though most of the precip should be to our west overnite. So this a test - Murphy's law says it should rain, lol.
  12. Don't have Direct TV, but that's awesome! Good for him! (and you!).
  13. Just checked the point & click forecast for here and suddenly there is no rain in the forecast for the next 7 days. Checked nearby and same thing. Lol, got to be an error. Radar looks pretty good for some showers overnight. Eta: the rain is back in the forecast...
  14. Hearing an owl here pretty much every night for the last week. Goes well with the Katydids and crickets. 67F currently.
  15. 63 for the low here overnight, 68F currently. Nice change, even if only for a day or two....
  16. And fall can't be too far away when the crickets are having their say.
  17. Had a thundershower here, more lightning and thunder in the hour before it got here, then weakened on the doorstep. Got 0.25" of rain. Looking forward to drying out a bit this weekend.
  18. It does look interesting, but I just looked at the HRRR and yeah. Otherwise it looked like a potential interesting merger with what's been moving up from the south.
  19. Picked up 0.75" additional in about 40 minutes from that last batch. 5 day total is 5.85", it's been spread out enough so that the biggest impact here (so far) is putting our project on the back burner for a few days. All the water piping and conduit was in as of last Friday, still have some drainage to do along with lawn rehab, lol. The second pic partially shows a trenched area we seeded a week ago, with the frost blanket hopefully protecting the seed from getting washed away. We peeked and yes there is grass under there .
  20. Getting some showers of varying intensity, breeze picking up a bit. Currently 77F, with about 0.12" of new rain in the last half hour.
  21. Picked up 1.03" of new rain overnight and this morning, 5 day total is 4.98".
  22. Had a couple of sprinkles here during the afternoon, looks like another 2 am or so possibility tonight, as things look to be lighting up again to our south on the radar.
