  1. . 76", . 58", . 22" the past 3 days with mod rain falling now. Nothing special compared to some... But it's August! I should be mowing dust every two weeks by now... Not bailing hay every 5 days. This is May BS. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G920A using Tapatalk
  2. .38” in the the bucket....really thought the 3km would have picked up on this at 12z. 12km actually did better...broken clock deal I guess. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  3. Interesting little feature on radar in the wv panhandle....has a bit of spin to it. Models show this drying up as it approaches central md...looks pretty robust right now as it heads into Washington county... Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  4. Went for a run on the C&O this afternoon....several large trees down along the way. These were new falls...add these to the ones that the heavy rains knocked down earlier in the season and there is quite a bit. No sycamores down tho...those things must have one heck of a root system..
  5. True. Wish I had a few unknown farm ponds in my back pocket....where the the big boys spend all summer porking up.Lol. I used to but not anything local anymore. Mostly river and creek floats... Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  6. Sun is out now....steam coming off the roof. 79/76 Perfect day for fishing.....if everything wasn’t high and muddy. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  7. .39” from the recent batch brings my total to 3.79” since Saturday...kinda paltry compared to most to my east.
  8. Looks like a several day period this week of high pwats, dews in the 70s with a decent feed from the atl. Reverting back to a very wet period it seems.
  9. 3.21” is my total for the event. Not enough to cause any flooding around here but the drive home around 11pm last night was pretty impressive. Windy, driving rain and standing water everywhere on the back roads around here.
  10. 2.67” here so far...should top 3” before it’s done. Nothing like to my east but certainly a deluge. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  11. Cant remember if snow cover advancing in late July is what we want or not??? Pretty sure it means a repeat of 09-10!
  12. Went to Antietam Sat for the concert and fireworks display. Unfortunately, half of them blew up on the ground. It certainly felt like fall though. Kids and wife were bundled up in blankets....beautiful days and evenings to be outside this weekend. Also, the grass is slowing down its growth finally. No more bailing hay in the backyard every time I mow.... Lows this weekend of 54/57
  13. Down to 78....chilly out Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  14. Some nice outflow breeze and clouds here from that storm. Knocked Temps back from 92 to 87. Makes is bearable outside in yard. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G920A using Tapatalk
  15. Same here...drenched and burning thru waters. Already made the call to pull the guys off the site at 1pm. Truck thermo says 93 but down in an empty bowl of a pool can be 10-15 degrees hotter. Misery...
  16. I respectfully disagree with Eskimo... But the explanation would be very long winded. We do around 50 plaster pool renovations a year. I don't want this to come off at all as an attempt to drum up business... It really was just an offer for friendly advice. If you want to discuss further just send me a message. 17. It's def a crazy time of year....I assume you need a new liner if the pool is empty? Is this an aboveground pool? If you feel handy enough to tackle it yourself let me know and I can at least guide you in the right direction....
  18. Strawberry crop this season has been off the charts...double what we harvested last season. (2) 15x20 ground level gardens with about 30’ of raised beds that wrap around a large shed I built. We do a good bit of canning but have never canned strawberry jam. I think we will give it a go this weekend. I noticed that the title of this thread includes pools. I’ve owned a pool business for almost 20 years. I’m happy to offer some free advice/troubleshooting for some fellow weather geeks. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  19. Euro looks like it came around to the idea that there will be an organized area of heavy rain from the system this weekend. Paints 4-6” across areas just above the MD line. Pwats around 2”....
  20. Thanks... Much appreciated. Certainly pretty low across the area. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G920A using Tapatalk
  21. Anyone mind posting current ffg for the area? I never know where to find it... Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G920A using Tapatalk
  22. Market St is famous for flooding during this type of event. Looking at radar and knowing the area well there s some serious flash flooding going on. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  23. Just checked that location....6.9” accum precip. Wow! Is that the past 24 hours or today? Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  24. Getting some light rain and thunder with that line back building. Place to my east must be getting pummeled. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  25. I usually sit the sidelines during sever season... I know very little. Love severe but have never taken the time to dig into it. A definite shift in the stability to my west... To my east are clear blue skies. To my west is now starting to bubble. Hoping for a good early season garden soaker... Possibly something even more interesting.
