It looks like a big coastal storm is in the cards. Obviously a long way to go, dialing in Wintery outcomes for parts of SNE.
Easter Sunday will be my make or break day, to figure out if this has a chance, of being a special spring storm for New England.- 1

We watch for now but certainly seems like there is potential for a juggernaut. Who is white and who is wet is very much unresolved.
Whatever happens, we want this to be a beast of low pressure to give folks in SNE a chance at one last accumulating snow

Let’s take the entire NNE grid down.
Then maybe follow up with a system that brings 2-3” of rain and DP’s in the 50’s?
Really get that spring freshet going. -
As far as conspiracy theories go with the Baltimore bridge, it would be much easier to compromise local onboard navigators and crew than it would be to f’k with gps or other satellite coms.
My older cousin was 25 years in the merchant Marines 70’s-90’s. He said he was on big ships that only had a crew of 20 to 25 people.
If you want to hack a ship just hack its crew. They’re all working for the money so they would probably be pretty easy to buy off.anyway, I think it was just a bad accident.

Coming up to 1.5” of stupidity.
I was talking to one of my son's teachers today who moved here from San Diego. She said it feels like it's been raining for two years.

This is also going to hit areas in SNE. Impressive blocking will shunt this south
Your mouth to God’s ears I hope.
I don’t even really want snow this late in the year but I can’t help fantasizing about it.

Get a couple of good melt days after that snow bomb and the eclipse chasers will be swallowed by mud.
I was just telling my coworker that yesterday!

It’s just been quintessential late March in New England all day.

What are folks' thoughts on whether it makes sense to commit to a 6+ hour round-trip drive if it looks like it's going to be cloudy? I'm willing to take my chances on a partly cloudy day, but if we're buried under an ULL with no hope of sunshine I'm wondering if it's worth the effort. Has anyone here experienced totality under overcast skies?
I would imagine it must get dark as night during totality if there’s cloud cover.

This seems like hype to me - my experience in Missouri in 2017 was not this.......far from it......but who knows
And lol at cell service on 91 in VT........there already isn't any lol
Well, a few years ago a 60,000 fan Phish Festival in VT caused major traffic headaches.
I can’t imagine if quarter of a million people pour into the state.

We had over an inch of snow and sleet and it absorbed the water surprisingly well. Yard gonna be frozen and white come morning so that will at least be exciting.
