  1. These are the days when the CRV shines. Warm, sunny and a nice breeze.
  2. I will say, it’s been one of the best forsythia blooms I have seen in years. It seems like every bush around town is blowing out yellow at the same time.
  3. I don’t believe the two species can breed together. Gray and Black can breed but neither can breed with Red if I’m not mistaken.
  4. I saw a Northern Lights display in Northern Vermont about 15 years ago that warped my reality. I was up in the Northeast Kingdom and watched towers of swirling green, blue and pink lights that left me and my hiking buddy speechless.
  5. Is anybody making plans for August 2026 in Iceland? I want to take my kid so I started looking into it last night. It can still be done reasonably but I’m sure prices are going to soar.
  6. Starting next week we may (hopefully) start to Stein for a while.
  7. Beginning of next week may be pretty nice away from the coast. The next 5 days look April like, hopefully we can move the precipitation out by friday night.
  8. My coworker said there’s still traffic coming back from northern Vermont.
  9. Today will probably be the warmest day in the next 10.
  10. Just got a text from a friend. I-91 in N VT is moving at 5mph.
  11. Temperature dropped almost 8° in Greenfield. This is the best I could do with my old iPhone through the eclipse glasses.
  12. GFS looked kind of meh’ compared to previous runs.
  13. Can already see high-level clouds on the western horizon here. Hopefully we don’t end up with complete cloud cover here this afternoon.
  14. I know totality is epic but 90% will still be pretty cool.
  15. That's good to hear and I kind of agree, the traffic is probably being overhyped by the media and local officials.
  16. Congrats to everyone going North for the full totality. I hope it is even more epic than you think it will be! I'll be helping chaperone the kids watching from my son's school in W MA. Looks like about 95% totality here.
  17. You'll be fine, it's the drive back that will be a little more crowded.
  18. That is a beautiful part of New Hampshire and remote. Enjoy!
  19. In reality if I went up there with the boy it would almost surely involve missing at least a day and a half of work and school but probably two days.
  20. He’s Buddhist, many many lives.
  21. Yeah, November 15 to December 15 can be rough. In April, at least in the valley, we can do real well on those downslope dandy days.
  22. When does the damage hype train for next week’s storm leave the station?
  23. I bet there are parts of W MA that are close to 90”.
