  1. Nice to have another seemingly knowledgeable poster in this subforum. Maybe it will help build up the following.
  2. After light snow this morning it's been raining lightly. Looks like snow is close though. 33F
  3. Ralph......... I know you follow the mid atlantic subforum and have probably seen the posts this morning regarding the WAR. Nice of you not to post any "told you so's"
  4. 1.56" total liquid precip for the event. There was 1/4-1/2" of slushy accumulation at 6am. So glad there was no freezing rain.
  5. Lgt/mod snow although weathertap radar says rain. I expect a change soon. 33F
  6. 12k 00z nam looks like lot of freezing rain to me. Hope I'm wrong.
  7. Freezing rain is the absolute worst. Went 5 days last winter without power. Really don't want a repeat.
  8. Measured 0.25". Doesn't look like I'll get any more.
  9. I wouldn't be surprised if this storm over performs for you guys. It seems just about every event in the last few years has over performed up here in cental NJ. More moisture in the atmosphere? Anyway good luck.
  10. I'm not sure about that. I was just looking at the 18z gfs on thr ncep site and it looked like the gfs on tt. Fv3 on tt slams our area.
  11. 0.81". Can't wait for the ground to freeze. I'm sick of mud.
  12. Had to laugh at this. My father was an electronics engineer and very knowledgeable in math and physics. Up until he passed he insisted a breaking ball was impossible. Nothing I said or showed him could make him consder otherwise. (Maybe it is an optical illusion ).
  13. Ji offering tutoring services now?
  14. Interestingly awful winter so far. November gave me about 5.5" snow and 8.6" rain. Then came December with zip for snow and another 5.4" rain. 2018 after March was in my mind the wettest most disgusting year weatherwise I have experienced. 2019 can only be an improvement.
  15. A week or so ago most knowledgeable mets were saying the significant pattern change would probably not occur until the middle of January. I don't see anything that should change that outlook. People are losing patience in all the nearby subforums. I like that most of our storms are SS in origin. Just need some blocking. Just like last March it will happen. It's going to snow. Bigly.
  16. Haven't seen Seidel covering this. Also noticed TWC people aren't fighting the wind. Maybe they got the message.
  17. Good luck to all you guys. As forecast now it looks like coastal areas are going to take a real beating. New Jersey is still rebuilding beaches six years after Sandy.
