On a flight back from London to DC now. Captain just said we had a 140 mph headwind. We were around NYC at about 34000 feet. Wild.

78 miles northwest of DC as the crow flies. Approaching 6 inches.

Great snow hike! Have fun! I drove up to my cabin for this. Plan on teleworking tomorrow. I’m 30ish miles as the crow flies west of where you’re hiking - up on a ridge top. Can see Annapolis Rocks area with my binoculars!

Heading to South Mountain tomorrow morning to hike to Annopoils Rocks. Should be better up there. 

I was thinking when the NAM came out this morning how the forecasted vertical velocities reminded me of that storm.

I think I’m going to chase to the WV panhandle.

Saturated ground. Monster oak fell on neighbor’s house.

You can really hear the wind just off the surface now. Sounds like a jet engine. Going to come down to surface soon. Street lights are dancing in the wind. The ground is so wet there just water everywhere. The heavy rain later going to push it over the edge. 

Now… can we get off this mountain today… dirt road to the top with no plowing service
