  4. Wonderful fire in the fire pit, grandson came by. Just had my mother’s funeral on Thursday so this is a spirit lifter.
  5. 95% boundary layer closing in, 30 miles to go.
  6. 6pm ob light-very light snow, 0.2”ph, 0.5” accumulation, 29.5F
  7. Looking at the dewpoints and temp convergences it looks like 27ish when we are 90%+ so not sweating any “warmth” issues
  8. First flakes at 3:08pm Forecasted on Tuesday onset at 3pm with a 35/15. It was 34/17 so I guess I passed.
  9. Heavy frost on car, This event is not overcoming humidities of 30% but rather almost 70 right now
  10. 12 midnight obs Milky pre snow cloudiness increasing. 28F. Reporting for duty.
  11. Baro has relaxed over last 5 hours and I hope that holds Lets see if my 3pm onset 35/15 at onset call from Tuesday hits the mark
  12. High confidence/low confidence-just make a forecast you believe in. Not radar hallucination really, just ability and desire to use it while it’s snowing rather than continuing to reference models
  13. Seeing that high depiction coming in at less than 1040. That’s good. Might end up warm front that just can’t go anywhere and snows .25-.5”ph for 20 hours.
  14. From 6 hours to onset we need a 30.25 or lower at DCA. The higher we go the further south it is.
  15. Almost like don’t need any real low but overrunning for 24+ hours. One of our best events , I think, was like 36 hours of 0.5”ph ? Love this set up.
  16. That was my greatest thundersnow event. 1” in 15 minutes and 3 for the hour.
  17. For days temps do not seem an issue to me. Skull crushing 1040 where it needs to be and we don’t want it further south nor much further east. Powdery at first, then bit wetter but white, then soon as low is east st of our longitude then powder. 12/15-1 on this
