  1. Nice storm here. Couple very close strikes and house skaking thunder.
  2. We have a municipal electric company in Raynham, Taunton, East Taunton and parts or Dighton. I think their rates are much lower than National Grid. Service is way better too...never lose power and when we do it's rarely for more than an hour or so.
  3. Just home from a friend's in Hanover. Must have got 3-4" of rain here just a few miles to your north. Will be pumping out some water from the pool in the morning since it looks like an infinity pool now. Also, seems we lost power for a time too
  4. Yessir. Indoor will work fine. Will save you frustration of missing sports (not that you're missing much in tonight's Pat's game)
  5. Get the cheapest HD antenna you can find for these situations. You'll get the Boston channels as well as Providence for free
  6. I've looked into these for my system. It's a great product with a couple problems. VERY expensive. About $6000 each and most residential systems need more than 1. Also, there aren't many available and the lead time to get them is very long. Lastly, there are only a couple contractors in MA that can even buy/install them. Like, as a homeowner (and someone with the knowledge to install it on to my system), I couldn't just call Tesla and order one....they'll only sell them to trained contractors. Great product, but......not ready yet
  7. I have (own, don't rent) 18 panels on the back roof of my house...can't see them from the street. 2500 sq feet, 2 zones of central AC, in ground pool with electric heat pump. Bill for July was $140. That's the highest it's been since I installed them. I have about 4-5 months a year when my bill is zero, usually April, May, September, October.
  8. Inverness, Nova Scotia beach...can confirm water is bath-like
  9. Enjoy the Mich Ultras. Give it a vacuum before I get home
  10. lol...Both courses are as nice as the website pics. It's only 800 miles/13 hours to drive for me tomorrow with a car full of 2 kids, dog and the wife. It's worth the long drive though. I can't recommend the trip enough if you've never been.
  11. Cabot Cliffs drone shot (not mine). 15th fairway and green on left. par 3 16th green on the cliff to the right. 16th tee is just out of the bottom of the picture. 17th and 18th at the top. There are 2 courses here, Cabot Cliff and Cabot Links. My wife's family is from this town, so we lucked out when they built these course in the last 10 years. CHeck out thier website for more pictures https://www.cabotlinks.com/ Weather there looks great for the next 10 days, so I'm looking forward to at least one round on both courses.
  12. You know it....I've played them both each summer since they've opened. No words....
  13. I vacation up there on Cape Breton Nova Scotia every summer. It's actually the Northumberland Strait and the water between Cape Breton and Pei is always very warm when we are there. I understand that it is very shallow so I think that leads to those temperatures The next town over from where we stay, Port Hood, advertisers themselves as having "the warmest waters in Eastern Canada" Beautiful area, great people, warm empty beaches, incredible golf. Thankfully it's 800 miles away so no one goes there
  14. Heading for my yearly trip to Cape Breton (Inverness) on Friday for 10 days. Hope it holds for the whole week.
  15. Just started here. Heavy rain, thunder, all that... Was hoping to write a few paragraphs on my political believes here in this thread.....that's fine, right?
  16. Just had a 20 minute downpour here in York Beach...some thunder, but mostly just heavy rain. Back up to 84/78. Holy humid. Btw, the water at the beach here is the warmest I've ever felt it. Had to be in the low 70s today. Just walk right in....which is convenient when you've been emptying red Solo cups into your face all day
