Cicadas, an earthquake, and an eclipse. Glad I’m not superstitious

I felt one on the 10th floor of the MGM Grand in Vegas about 25 years ago. THAT was wild

Is the mid Atlantic stealing our snow AND earthquakes? Seriously though didn’t feel anything here

The increase in severe weather potential and quite a bit northward shift in severe weather potential for tomorrow is wrecking some havoc. This could be a sign for a stronger primary into western Michigan at least as that would favor the warm front lifting this far north to warrant these severe probs. It will be fun later today, tonight, and tomorrow to watch in real time how the convection is influencing the upper levels
Centered over Ohio just a day before the 50th anniversary of the Xenia storm

Is Reed Timmer a hypemaster? He’s predicting a big tornado outbreak in OK/AR/KS on Monday next week. He even drew comparisons to 2011

Nice WF convergence in srn areas. Maybe some thunder too. Deep winter continues.
Thunder would make this the winter highlight for me

Is this officially the longest stretch without 4+ inches in a storm for Boston?

Screw it. Can’t get any snow so let’s at least set some records

With no snow or storms to speak of I usually immerse myself in tornado research. I’ve been reading and researching everything everything on the web about the Tri State Tornado of ‘25…So easy to lose myself for hours reading books, eyewitness accounts and pictures.

That was just an almost unbelievable period of intense TC activity that we've not seen anything like that since. I wonder what was different about the 50s vs today? The SSTs are warmer now but we don't see those kinds of storms that far north anymore.
Unprecedented tornado season in 1953 and unprecedented hurricane season in ‘54. Any connection?

Alaska was amazing. I would honestly move there if it wasn't for the astronomical prices of literally everything. Plus the fact that its in the middle of nowhere and food in the supermarket is not fresh at all. There is also a lot of homelessness and drug and alcohol abuse, particularly in Anchorage.
Surprisingly one of the most crime ridden cities in the country

I’d rather partly sunny and brisk tomorrow if the best I can do is two lousy inches from this. Might as well go for the record at this point

What a kick in the nuts this turned into

Gotta figure a few folks are going to lose power with the heavy wet cement and any kind of wind

NS stealing our hurricanes and now snowstorms. What a greedy province

Hopefully it‘ll be so crazy that Thomas Grazulis is forced to issue a “2024 special addition” to his Sig Tornado series

This sucks. We may as well bring on the cloudy, 40’s and drizzle spring weather. At least that’s always consistent.

Looks wild outside. I forgot how much I enjoy snow squalls

The Belichick press conference is hitting pretty hard right now
