Not worth much but Canadian has been insisting on basically no event...everything suppressed. Maybe a compromise would work.

Looks like an active srn stream on the ensembles. Might be some gorillas from the gulf?
I think most would just take one of these at this point...

Getting loud again. Already recorded highest gust of year today...let's see if we can beat it with that line. Looks like Isles of Shoals stopped reporting earlier...too bad. 56/56

Potent looking line coming ashore in RI. Bit of a lull here now. 1.78", 54/54

I know it's a good wind event when our dog that has no fear starts cowering under my desk...wind is the only thing she hates. 1.42" so far and starting to gust over 30mph at ground level. No power issues and fortunately staying out of the significant downpours so far.

Winter is happening just in other parts of the world, like Norway...

We'll get our chances. Beautiful morning...51/36.

2.35" of rain from the event. Pretty pedestrian overall.

GFS has some nice eye candy in the LR. Maybe a nice sou'easter to set the stage.

One of the biggest Dec storms on record for the MHT area was Dec 1-3, 2019. Don't have to go back to the knicker days to find one
That is actually the biggest snow storm of the last 5 years here...picked up 17".

3.51" of precip for the month. Picked up a 1/2-3/4" inches of snow on 11/9 but nary a flake otherwise. Temp averaged 39F, about 6F cooler than last November...felt more typical of November majority of the time.

Low of 16.5 here this morning but the rain appears to be on it's way.
I've taken the liberty to add Great Bay to this image, not to scale of course, however it shows how this area clearly gets shafted in certain setups. While it may not be a flaccid system in general, it'll be flaccid for sure near the coast.
18F here. What side of the bay? Or are you in a boat? The gradient in these setups is always about 10-15mi to the NW of this area. Once in a while we end up in the goods like December 1-2, 2019.

Definitely feels like a more normal progression this year. Normal roller coaster but the dips get a little bit lower each time. 24/19

I remember three stooges reruns on all the time when I was a kid in the late 80s and early 90s.
GFS shows multiple chance in clown range. You don’t take any of them seriously but it’s nice to see the potential in the pattern. Should be a pretty good pattern for at least NNE snowfall…even without synoptic snows there’s prob gonna be some upslope and leftover LES stuff up there.
New to the board?

Seems like there'll be a lot of fun with the AI image generators this season

Liking the trends toward wintery. Let's get that GFS a bit further east and redux Thanksgiving '89, which was also on the 23rd.

Our 25th anniversary vacation, Scotland.
Nice. Spent a week there last month. Beautiful country.

Already down to 29. Just a need a couple more degrees for the coldest night so far.

Strange foliage year. My two Japanese maples still hanging on to most of their leaves...tulip poplar and cherry the same. The gingkoes haven't even changed yellow but the more mature ones in local shopping center lots have turned and started dropping. Of course, neighbor's Norway maple still with most of its leaves. Meanwhile, oaks nearby are progressing with active leaf drop.

So it begins. Kind of surprised here with at least 1/2" on the ground. 32/30 in light snow.

First frost this morning at 33.5F. Had to scramble to find the scrapers for the car. This month was almost identical to Oct. 2021 temp wise with a 55F average. Finished at 3.78" of precip. Be nice to see some flakes this week. 37/34

High of 81 here. May not see that again for 7 months.

17F for the low. Too bad we lost middle of next week but hopeful there'll at least be some flakes in the air next weekend and maybe have something to track by then.
