I use it but if I’m outside of 15ft or so I pick a spot before the hole instead.
That makes complete sense. I’ll work that in!

Completely anecdotal but I don’t think the public is ready for this. The handful of people I’ve spoken with here on the island either don’t realize a storm is coming or are downplaying it, saying it’s going out to sea, it’ll just be some rain, etc.

Yeah, I'm super bummed not to be on the island. It's going to be wild out there. I hope StormSurge comes through with some great pictures of the surf. I remember when Bill approached, you could hear the waves crashing on the south side of the island from my house on the north shore. I bet such will be the case this go round too.
I got you @Hoth. The issue will be getting the images out to you & the gang here. Crappy cell service & I’m guessing no WiFi for awhile.
On a semi-related note, any idea where I can pick up a Kestrel on the mainland? Defender? West Marine?

Devastated to say no. Have to stay in New Haven for work this weekend. Take lots of pics of the surf and wind please!
I’m on it! I’m still anticipating a miss (non-scientific reasons) but the trends seem to be targeting us.

@Hoth are you here?

I just started using the "heads up" putting technique (looking at the hole instead of the ball) and it has helped. Small sample size & I'm sure it's all psychological, but I'll take it.

I’m such a sucker/weenie. I know better but I can’t help but be excited even for the slimmest of chances.

I'm still waiting to accumulate enough rounds to acquire one. The courses have been too busy lately for me to get some time in. Hopefully after Labor Day it will get easier. I'm assuming high teens.

Not much action in this thread
haven't played yet this year getting the itch .
surgery for torn tricep tendon and removing bone spurs in March and got a sports hernia deadlifting at end June. THat plus buying selling homes and moving to Florida . Hoping to play soon once settled .
Yikes! I hope you're feeling better.
I finally have my GHIN, so now I'm trying to play as many rounds as possible to see how poor my handicap is.

Where do you live Phoenix?
It felt like it last month, at least after the first few days. Definitely a "have not".
A coastal would be great.

I just want some rain. Everyone else was splashing around in puddles all July & my lawn is brown.

Only 3.84” for the month here.

0.35" in about 10 minutes here. Glorious! Hopefully more on the way.

That title prob goes to far SE CT on the shore like where GON is. ACK actually does better than them...and the Cape a lot better.
Hi.
Worst for pretty much anything fun, right @Hoth?

I was just wondering about him yesterday, as we haven’t heard from him in awhile.
Just terrible news. My sincere condolences to his family and friends. He will certainly be missed around here.

If you tee off the third with the same ball as the second, you're doing well in my book lol.
I know I'm going to jinx myself, but I can't remember the last time I hit one onto the rocks. It's 50/50 between the fairway or the jungle on the left. I'll try to align the landing by one of the birdhouses but 90% of the time, those balls are gone.

It’s quite easy to find wayward drives right now. Not losing a ball isn’t exactly a noteworthy feat this time of the year but part of me is still happy about it.

Sorry, just saw this. For the record, there was no icing here.
I hope you had a wonderful Christmas!
