Depends where you live I suppose but it certainly was for western and southern Connecticut. Looks like areas out East may be getting hit harder though.

Oct 2017 was worse here than any of those others ones.
From an outage perspective I don’t think this will rival those, we have no leaves on the trees and no heavy wet snow obviously.

3-4pm is your peak on the HRRR....95 knots at 850.
Ya I have to imagine this is the peak. On 5 total people out of power in my town but the numbers will probably spike in the next hour or two.

Was quiet down here for a while but it’s picked back up again. Strongest winds of the day.

Looks like our sister company CMP isn’t going to escape from this one. Thought maybe this would stay confined to mostly emery’s territory but apparently not. Truly awful timing given the whole Coronavirus pandemic as well. Now that customers are confined to their homes they are going to go batsh** about having no power for one day, let alone one week as well.

58 and sunny. What an unexpected winner today is.

Turning out to be a beautiful day here. 55F and mostly sunny. NAM has most of CT clearing out today.
-
Steady snow, but 36F so no accumulation to speak of.
-
55F and overcast. Up from 49F at noon. Hoping we can climb above 60F

68 here
Terrible
If it isn’t going to snow then I can’t see why 68 and sunny would be “terrible” it’s beautiful outside.

Dr dew must feel all tingly inside after looking at the hr 342 GFS.

That’s quite the torch at the end of the EURO run. We spring.

Man I truly don’t remember the last time I went multiple weeks without even a fantasy 200+ hour storm to look at during February. Just awful.
-
Planning on installing a fence this spring for my backyard, but given how warm it’s been I may be able to put it up by early March.

36,000 in RI with no power. 40,000 in SE MA between National Grid and Eversource.
Looks like the worst avoided this part of CT thankfully. UI outages are below 300 total people.

Have a weenie yellow blob of snow over me right now. Pouring with huge flakes. What do I have to do to keep this around for a few hours?

Moved to Florida so haven't been here in a while, where's BOS at snow wise and temp for the season?
About the same as Miami Florida.

100 pages for absolutely nothing lol. At this point I’m just hoping for a quick February so I can start enjoying warmer weather and longer sunlight hours.

I like winter, especially this one. With all the bickering and whining, seems like most everyone else doesn't like winter. Not sure why people spend days weeks months looking forward to it, hyping it even, just to cry about it for three months when it occurs
Well you see, most of us like snow bur are below average in that department. So we are disappointed. Not too hard to understand.

Correct me if I’m wrong. But last nights euro was a shift in the right direction, then it lost it, now the new run is another shift in the right direction?
18 z was the good run. 0z was bad.

Not gonna get it done. It’s almost like that lead southern vort is the perfect strength to screw us. If it didn’t exist then we’d probably have a big storm...if it was stronger, it would probably ride up the eastern side of the trough and hit us...but being weak it sort of just front runs ENE and whiffs is while taking the baroclinic zone out to sea.
Seems like something that would happen given how this winter has been.

Awesome nothing like a cold rain on a Friday night that lingers into Saturday and gives us a miserable cloudy Saturday day in mid April.
