Looks like a solid 2” to 5” event for the Detroit area.

So much model variability but it definitely look like an active cold pattern, and wondering if it will be multiple waves?
Extremely active pattern going forward. My worry is that it’s south of the lower great lakes

With how cold this air mass will be in place, this looks like a decent high ratio event. I think we can get more than 2-3.
Wrong storm. I meant the one on Thursday

Back to Feb 6/7 potential. Still a lot of interesting possibilities, but since models suck I don't like getting into it too far out wrt details but its always nice to be in the middle of a range of solutions.
I think 2 to 3 inches is a good call

U know its a sh*t winter when Josh is even remotely close to bitchin about it. Slowly wearin you down. If this next wave performs anything like the gfs is showing that will give northern Wisconsin there big snow leaving pretty much metro Detroit as only area this far north in the region without a respectable snowstorm. Maybe Toronto but havent really paid much attention to canada as most dont lol.
As frustrating as its been, its even worse that the northeast might get its 3rd foot plus storm in a winter where it looked promising the midwest would have a possible historic winter and east coast not much. Just goes to show winter outlooks are useless.
Toronto I believe had a 10 inch snowstorm around xmas

Picked up 1.3” on the board before snow shut off. Should be it for a while. May get some minor accumulations tomorrow from the storm as the northern edge of snow wraps back in. As expected, dry air won out here.
About 1.75” here in Shelby.

To be fair. Toledo should be in a WSW. 4-7” is definitely WSW warning. Especially for that area.

Detroit, downriver, and east of glacier rudge always find a way into the drysluot*.
Don’t know if you know but I relocated on the east side (Shelby Township macomb) so I’m no longer in the elevation. And we are doing just as good as the elevated areas is today. This area is approaching 3 inches and it’s still snowing good. So you’re wrong for at least today.

The times they are a changin'. My son's school district doesn't have a snow day today - they have an unscheduled e-learning day instead.

With but a few exceptions this entire storm has been a joke compared to what it once was just about everywhere. 1 inch.of heavy snow here. im wondering if its sleet tainted.
I shouldn’t complain we just had 1.8” in 70 mins here. Probably another 1-2” today. I guess it met forecast
