  1. Always plan on snow missing this area...it works out much better that way so you won't be disappointed.
  2. Precip only goes to 72 but here is the MSLP at 144. I would think that has room to come north after 144 (especially compared to the regular GFS) based on that panel but I'd defer to the experts here.
  3. Yeah, this is a key feature to hone in on if I'm interpreting things right...even a tiny adjustment would work...
  4. 12z ICON is a hit for central VA, especially back west towards Roanoke where the highest snow totals would be concentrated verbatim. Just need a slight tug north of the low and it'd be good for NVA/DC.
  5. I'm rooting for something that has a general 4-6" swath over Central and Northern VA. Rare to get something like that especially in early December as generally something good up here means its at the expense of RVA.
  6. Simply for S&G analysis...6z ICON only goes to 120 but comparing it to 0z last night (which was not suppressed), the confluence is further north at the end of the run. I'd extrapolate and assume its not a suppressed slider.
  7. FV3 is a good hit for the area. Night and day from the regular GFS
  8. Ha, good point. A Steelers loss would be a good finish.
  9. Good finish to the SNF game.
  10. One of the panels were a bit further north. So we were right.
  11. I’m looking at H5 and heights are heigher on the EC vs 18z so if I was wagering, I’d say the same. Famous last words for us...
  12. The plot thickens. Honestly, I’d rather take my chances with a good track than a suppressed MOFO.
  13. The good news? 00z ICON isn’t suppressed. The bad news? It’s a 999 over ORF and heavy rain everywhere. More good news? It’d break the annual rainfall record at DCA. woo!
  14. 6z/18z only goes out to 90. Ji can extrapolate though.
  15. 24” or bust. Doesn’t seem unreasonable to expect around these parts, no?
  16. FV3 saves the evening! Rejoice, the King is here.
  17. Unsurprisingly GEFS follows the OP and favors SW VA and the NC mountains. 2.5” mean in DC.
  18. Exiting stage right. NC snowstorm. Too much confluence.
  19. I’ll take my chances with a stronger sw and overmodeled confluence at range.
  20. Crazy even if he had played the whole season so far.
  21. At least the guy/girl who was whistling has either run out of oxygen or passed out from beer consumption.
  22. But what about the departing High?
