Precip only goes to 72 but here is the MSLP at 144. I would think that has room to come north after 144 (especially compared to the regular GFS) based on that panel but I'd defer to the experts here.
12z ICON is a hit for central VA, especially back west towards Roanoke where the highest snow totals would be concentrated verbatim. Just need a slight tug north of the low and it'd be good for NVA/DC.
I'm rooting for something that has a general 4-6" swath over Central and Northern VA. Rare to get something like that especially in early December as generally something good up here means its at the expense of RVA.
Simply for S&G analysis...6z ICON only goes to 120 but comparing it to 0z last night (which was not suppressed), the confluence is further north at the end of the run. I'd extrapolate and assume its not a suppressed slider.
The good news? 00z ICON isn’t suppressed.
The bad news? It’s a 999 over ORF and heavy rain everywhere.
More good news? It’d break the annual rainfall record at DCA. woo!
