  2. SLC gets good snow. Airport is down in the flats. Park city has a town etc. Actually vibrant. House we purchased is on a ridge a few miles outside the town. I am telling you...I wanted/selected to move UTAH. Toured lots of spots over the years.

  4. 5 going on 6 years in Highland Lakes. Snowiest location in NNJ confirmed. No other location gets more snow in NJ...first big ridge off the Atlantic Ocean.
  5. Yea. I looked everywhere for quality of life. Utah is awesome. i really like slc. My best guess is around 200-250 inches a year on my street. Not like little cottonwood canyon or Alta/snow bird snow.
  6. Irish rob... noticed the Irish jig flag in the photo! to all, wife & I are moving to Park City Utah. Never got the big snow I wanted. My wife took a new position at local slc hospital. My biggest regret that I have is knowing .......it's watching from the sidelines. Very confident it snows & snows a lot at my house now. Have about 5-7 weeks left around the area. Plan to be back in the spring/summer. fondly, matt

  10. 12 z gfs & nam improved with qpf for my area. would not be shocked to get around an inch of snow tonight.
  11. further to the SW, Mt Holly NWS mentions snow is possible above 1000 ft in elevation rt 80 north tomorrow night..if precip can make it this far north. Also notes Sunday morning...a mix or snow is possible with a storm in the higher terrain north of I 78 in NJ.
  12. In other news from Mt Holly NWS. Precipitation ends from south to north Monday morning. There is a possibility that the first snowflakes of the season fall Monday morning in the Poconos as thermal profiles aloft cooling to below freezing. We currently do not anticipate any accumulations with 1) the transition to snow occurring just as the wrap-around precip shuts off and 2) a warm ground (surface temperatures only falling into the upper 30s/lower 40s)
  13. I am going to burn a fire tonight....just to do it. This is a terrible October if you enjoy fall weather. Hope winter comes in strong in November, December or January. High 73.6 today. low - 51.2 Current temp is a balmy 70.5
  14. People had the boats out on the Lake today in Highland Lakes. It was that warm. Getting the chimney cleaned this week.....hopefully get the 1st fire going in the next few weeks. Need to get the snowblower tuned up too.
