I recorded that too, haven’t watched it yet. It didn’t start flipping here until almost 2:30.
I have to watch it again and let it sink in. It was weird I thought. I'd guess half of the qpf was just rain , so maybe we had 0.45" of snow and about 2" accum. Horrendous ratio that most models don't seem to he able to see...warm ground temps make it more pronounced. Maybe Kuchie would, but I didn't check those prior.

I was up until after 2 last night and when the temperature here got stuck on 36 for 2 hours at the height of the storm I knew it was going to bust. My overnight minimum was 33.
I was up late watching Better Call Saul S6 premiere that I had recorded. By 1 a.m. I turned in and it was still a mix, more R than S it appeared.

KBGM did a pretty good job forecasting this I think.

I'm sure some are going to prefer discord and others here. A good mix is probably the compromise.
Yeah, it's a bit of a compromise I think also.

Seems like there's always been "something" with every synoptic event. This time, of course, was it is April 19th. If this storm had followed this track during WINTER, we'd be frolicking in foot + snowfall throughout the entire Syracuse region.
It has been discouraging. But one thing I'd say is that the lower res models that were showing 6+" in this area generally, were whacked. And I think we all knew that. So today was not a surprise. For me anyway.

I’d like to have weather discussion here and everything else can go over there if people want to use discord.
For the most part I'd support that. Not a fan of yet another social media platform but it is easy to use.

The NWS Binghamton measurement shows 14.2" of snow for Binghamton. That would surpass the existing April record of 13.9" from April 15-17, 2007. The two-day mark is 13.6" from April 15-16, 2007, which would also be exceeded.
Impressive. KBGM is also up on a 1300' , or so, hill at the airport.

Especially when the amount of liquid was almost an inch so you get an idea of the potential if we didn’t get screwed by the temperature
Yes, we have found various ways to underperform the past few seasons.

Getting a burst of snow now but now we’re fighting the rising April sun.
It's brutal here in the lowlands. Given the lack of LES and synoptic here the past few seasons, events like these are just another kick in the gonads for us. Up to 2" here...

1" snow. Nothing on pavement. As expected.

Probably the right spot among your options. Good luck!

It seems absurd to imagine but Rochester got clobbered x2 well into April back in 199x. So I guess it's possible...
Just occasional flurries here. Not buying NAM nonsense. Maybe we get inch Or two of accum if it's at night.

Not holding my breath in the lower elevations of the Catskills/Sullivan County but who’s even doing that at this point anyway, it’s April

I gave this winter a D, just like the last one and the one before that...
I wanted to go lower but an F should be reserved for special debacles...we've had 2 of them here in the last 15 years. I forget which they were though.

Looks like no spring this year and maybe cool summer this year with 1 or 2 days of 90's, that's it!
I think we see 2 days of 100s and a plethora in 90s. My pool should be near boiling. As it should be.

For real. It makes me even more eager to move out of the Valley of Death...but I don't see that happening for a couple more years.
Yeah I've often thought the hilly areas south and SE of Syracuse (Madison Cty, So. Onondaga) are well situated for wringing out LES and better locations for Noreasters.

I missed all the fun last night or early a.m. but picked up another 2.5"...puts my spot just over 80" for season.

It looks like winter again. I have 1 3/4 inch of snow on my car this morning, less on my driveway. This should be gone by later today.
About same here. 1.5" snow with 0.18" liquid. One last weekend to lounge about and not do spring cleanup outside. And...ive surpassed last year's Snowfall total, barely. Up to 79.1". Would be nice to get to an even 80". Maybe tonight.
Overall winter grade remains a D. Same as last season...

Anything more than 2" in OSW will surprise me. I wouldn't be surprised if I got mostly graupel.
Sizzling here near Cuse. 47 degrees. Expecting some rain and then brief ground whitenings tonight and tomorrow. Should get that 1/2" to climb over last season's total.

0.31" of rain yesterday and a T of snow. April just doesn't cut it for backside Lake enhancement here.
