    Got a little 0.1” here in northern Manhattan.

    Mostly sleet in northern Manhattan. Rate of precip has also slowed. As long as it stays frozen I’ll be okay. Looks like it might for a while as temps have fallen quite a bit.

    The wind gusts over the last hour have gotten absolutely insane. Probably 50mph if not a tad higher.

    Absolutely brutal outside with the wind. LGA at 33 G48 the last hour.

    Rain has tapered off a bit, but a good amount of street flooding around. Some of it due to clogged drains from the piles of leaves still blowing around.

    An odd little observation. Usually during snowstorms, people walk in the streets because it is easier to do that than trudge through unshoveled sidewalks. But right now the majority of sidewalks have been cleared while the streets are still completely snow covered.

    There’s a wind driven rain here now. Turning the streets into an even bigger mess. Northbound traffic is still stalled on Riverside and Broadway. Many side streets blocked by cars that couldn’t make it up the hill.

    Got between 5-6” in Hamilton Heights. It is complete gridlock here. Buses stuck on the hills blocking traffic completely in all directions and multiple accidents within a several block radius of my apartment.

    First flakes started flying in Hamilton Heights.

    Had to head up to the coast of Maine to enjoy some sunshine. Mostly sunny, upper 50s, and a light wind today, perfect fall weather.

    Quite an impressive storm in western Queens. No wind, but tons of vivid CG strikes in very close proximity with absolutely explosive thunder. And torrential rain. The rain has stopped but the CG strikes are still going.
