You don't miss what you don't have.  But that Cherynobel show does sound good.

would like to watch it, but not for $15/month.

Got to the Carpathian Mountains in Transylvania... dodging thunderstorms at 10,000ft.

Hopefully I have enough experience to climb here ;).

Awesome. Did you have this planned for awhile and how long you there for? Enjoy the vaca

  3. Just saw on the news regarding Everest, that they are not screening the applicants for the permits very well lately, and many climbers that are there, shouldn’t be, is what some officials are now saying.  And they also said that the guiding operations in some cases are also sub par lately for a mountain of that Magnitude.   And this is exactly what I was thinking was happening.
It’s obvious when there are that many folks there..that all these people aren’t experienced enough, or strong enough to make that type of climb.
It’s become a big money maker...and they aren’t screening very well. And they’re issuing far too many permits also.  Big changes look to be coming for next year....

It looks like a line at Disney world. Absolutely ridiculous and irresponsible

  4. 1.7" new snow on MWN in the past few hours.

Rode my bike past Pinkham yesterday. Was about 60F at 11:15am, but stiff northwest breeze. Ate a quick lunch and headed to Gorham. What a difference a day makes.

46.5F  (and going down)Moderate rain.  After a cold night last night and rain today had to bite the bullet and start up the wood stove.  Arrgghhh....

Nuts. I cleaned mine out and it's sleeping until Fall. I just can't bring myself to lighting it up.

  6. I think I answered my own suspicion. I just zoomed in from standing underneath the tree and you can see all the new leaves already chewed and the holes and the dead stuff. If you are on your phone.. zoom in. This is the earliest they’ve hit. This is year 3, so it appears they’ve gotten the trees . Also see the blown down leaves with all the holes .

  7. I just got into the hot tub myself. Awesome when you can just walk and feel the gentle breeze
Speaking of hot tubs. Thinking about one, but not sure about reliability, how much we'll use it. Been looking online at used ones.

  8. In my experience hydro seed will fill in but it takes some time. It’ll quickly look like what you have but take months to really get going. It’ll also be full of weeds. How much are you watering it?
Mother nature provided enough rain so far. I hate to have to hook up sprinklers again but will probably have to

  9. First cut on the new hydroseed last night. Disregard lower left brown spot as they was plow damage from this winter that was reseeded 3 wks ago. Overall, I'm not that impressed. Lots of thin areas and some without shoots. It's been cold until recent, so maybe it'll start growing faster IDK. A few hot days, and this will probably go to junk. Pretty much have had it with lawn projects that don't succeed very well.

  10. Didn't take long to remember how much i hated climbing up the roof to service my weather station, Had to take down my old one that half the sensors were no longer working and had been offline for two years to put up my new one, Glad its only an occasional climb up there, I'm not a fan of heights even when i was younger.
    Roof pitch?
