  2. Wish I had thought of this as I could have borrowed my neighbors drill Sent from my SM-G981U1 using Tapatalk
  3. I did check other windows and doors but knew they were locked. That glass was tough to break. Had to throw it like a baseball to bust it Sent from my SM-G981U1 using Tapatalk
  4. Yep getting one now Sent from my SM-G981U1 using Tapatalk
  5. Off to a bad start. While setting up genny I walked out of garage back door and locked myself out. I always check to make sure it's unlocked before I walk out even if other doors are unlocked out of habit. After looking for the spare outdoor key which conveniently was not where it's supposed to be, a few expletives, I grabbed a brick and busted the window. Awesome, now I can start shopping for a whole new door. Probably won't need the genny now,lol Sent from my SM-G981U1 using Tapatalk
  6. Is that going to be the theme for most of the event, as in less to no sleet? at least north of PWM?
  7. sitting in the middle of that 18-24" on the Cumberland/Andro county line
  8. lol, imagine if this were on monday with the eclipse. some areas up north don't have any rooms
  9. we have production run tomorrow in pwm. I told the guys we're going to lose power and that'll likely mean we have to discard the run/product. We're in such backlog we can't afford not to manufacture, but we also face the likelihood of dumping the material if power goes out. can't win
  10. pick your poison I guess. 16" of hvy sn or 12" sn with 4" IP. Gonna be a bitch to remove either way. I intend to snowblow early in the a.m., again tomorrow night, then again fri morning if needed
  11. Jfc. Don't want it. Nuts Sent from my SM-G981U1 using Tapatalk
  12. Good. Let's widdle this down to less than 10". I hope is busts badly Sent from my SM-G981U1 using Tapatalk
  13. I've got a honda genny. I usually wheel it out then put a folding table over it then a tarp. I leave the ends open. Poor mans shelter but I only do this in bad rain or sn storms. Does everyone else cover their portable genny or do leave it uncovered and hope for the best
  14. But what about the EVs? Poor souls Sent from my SM-G981U1 using Tapatalk
  15. the red flashing piece as you've depicted is not present. The dripping as of yesterday has stopped, despite the residual snow melt, so I think the ice dam from last week's storm allowed for water pooling in the soffit, but I need to better identify, using a roofer, potential issues. thanks
  16. I have pics from when house was built, but none unfortunately that shows the ice shield installed.
  17. there's definitely drip edge and it juts out enough so that the water runs directly into the gutter. I think you're right about not enough ice shield due to the buckled shingles. I think the water was pooling in the soffit. When I took a level to the pine soffit pieces, some of them slope towards the house just enough so that water would eventually drip down the siding. No evidence of wall wetness or damage inside. We also have 1/2" foam board behind the siding so I believe the water is leaking between this foam surface and the backside of siding, but hopefully not on the backside of foam and OSB. I need to a roofer to take a look.
  18. Looks more reasonable. Carson pumping 12-18 Sent from my SM-G981U1 using Tapatalk
  19. We had an ice dam awhile ago and it all melted last week yet I'm still getting water driping down siding and at the corner of the valley where the gutter is. I thought the melting snow was dripping behind the gutter but it's not. The soffit must be full of water, otherwise not sure where it's coming from. Sent from my SM-G981U1 using Tapatalk
  20. Lol, I figured. Just don't want anymore sn Sent from my SM-G981U1 using Tapatalk
