RGEM is 0.2 from Baltimore down through DC.  

6z ICON looks decently moist.  Would be nice to get this precip in closer to 4-5 am to maximize the accumulations.  If it comes in closer to 7-9 am it’ll be lower impact.

With 50/50 boom bust probability and medium confidence haha.  Basically it can snow 0-30 inches and they’ll be like yep we nailed it.

I’m not too greedy, of course if a warning level snow is on the table I’ll take it but this hasn’t really ever looked like that.  Pack refresher before a fresh arctic blast.

I’m worried less about run to run QPF fluctuation and more about the general orientation of the stripe, whatever happens will favor our area it seems and that’s a good thing.  If the stripe heads to Philly and nyc that’s no bueno. 

Nothing really changed set up wise, the general idea is there.

You’re gonna see closings tomorrow, low teens tomorrow morning + wind + a high in the 20s.  That is def more winter than this region can handle lol.  Everything will be a glacier tomorrow AM.

Light snow with better flake size under this band.  Probably about 2 inches everything is white.  LFG! 4-5 seems like a lock, radar looks great, temps cooperating. 

Roads caving in takoma park now that sun isn’t high in the sky,  should happen fast at 27 degrees.  Thank god it’s not another 38 degree “snowstorm”.

Friday! This is the period @brooklynwx99 was honking about maybe 5 days ago!

It’s good our best rates come in 0z to 6z.  Wouldn’t wanna use them up at peak solar insolation. 

Good band over dc, light snow flake size improving. 

And the Canadian has a nice event!

Just watched a car completely sliding down a hill in dc.  Amazing how bad the roads are with a half inch.  I think they forgot to treat them. 

Roads are a big mess already in dc.  This latest batch of light snow is doing them in.
