Ensembles show snow on many areas Thanksgiving week. Way out there but models have a cold tday week.

it would be nice if we get a full blown snowstorm from buffalo to the coast for thanksgiving so i don't have to go to my in-laws haha

If November turns out to be another above normal month, this will be one of the warmest met falls (Sept - Nov) in history

Usually a bad sign for winter if we get warm but honestly it’s been rather chilly the last few days we’ll know how the winter goes after Christmas still a long ways out sir

    Agree

Cold weather now Is a waste

no you want it to be cold from now on, usually if it starts warm like this, it's going to be a warm and rainy winter. we want it to either be dry and cool or cold and rainy around this time of the year. lately it's just warm and rainy and just warm!

all depends on the SE ridge-if that flexes no cold air will be able to penetrate east of the apps or even the mississippi

Yes it will it’s just matter of do we get a clean snow event or a mixed bag. Cold air is dense and it does go through regardless of mountains but the upper air could warm up.

    The arctic circle?

Yeah I pay attention to those spots and up to 500 miles south throughout the northern hemisphere. The frigid air is coming. It’ll be here just in time for around Christmas this year in my opinion.

Not exactly a bold statement as we head deeper into October lol

I was just checking a bunch of north of the circle locations and seems like Sunday is the last day of above freezing temps in many of those locations
