really started to get concerned for a power outage at this rate.
I'm concerned for the magnolia tree in my front yard, it is starting to droop. I hope that the sleet will save the power infrastructure.

I've got thunder in Saginaw, half sleet/half raindrop pouring from the sky.
Edit: I'm concerned that the current mix might accrete faster than either of the p-types alone.

I imagine we will end up somewhere between the two. I've been wondering why the models are struggling so much as well. I thought that the cold air would arrive faster and stronger than what the models advertised but the difference in precipitation is more extreme than normal.

I stayed home today with the kids. Not driving into downtown Fort Worth today from Saginaw. The early release that happens is going to be a disaster. I busted rying to walk from my door to my car.
Report from the TCCD NW campus with water icing over quickly enough that if you stood there your shoes would try to stick to the sidewalk.

Here on the NW side of the metroplex the temperature has already fallen to 34. Cold has come in faster than forecast.

Snowing in Saginaw now. Pretty even if its falling after dark.

Got a report from my family on the Hughes/Seminole county line OK that they are now getting all snow.

I'm watching it. Temps aren't looking great for us.

It was sleeting as I left my house this morning. That was about 7:30ish. Nothing was showing on the radar though, is this due to how low in the clouds it's precipitating? It was heavy enough to run my wipers in my car but pretty light. Also the temps are colder than I expected. 23 at my house.

Things getting quiet down here in Denton and Collin Ct. After all this is not nearly as bad as the models depicted. I'm curious why they missed with so many consensus and consistency for about a week. But after all this is good for the metroplex!
I think the harder rate of rain combined with such slowly falling temps saved the northeast side of the metro area from a much worse outcome. Everything ran off before it could freeze.

Fully changed over now, solid snow for thirty minutes. Sure looks pretty.

Big flakes mixing with the sleet on the NW side of Fort Worth.

Sleeting pretty good here in NW Fort Worth. Opened the front door and all you hear are sirens. Eek. Please stay home if you can!

Did the grocery store run, firewood pick up happens tomorrow. I'm hoping for more of the cobblestone 2013 storm and less of a ice storm.

I’d say we got another 1.5 inches here. Week total of 5.5 inches here.

@gwlee7 The outages have not been equal at all. I’m so sorry.

My family is reporting pouring snow north west of Ada. Says they’ve already picked up at least two inches.

Is this storm fully sampled on shore yet? The amounts in Oregon have already surprised the Mets there. Forecasts have had to be upped several inches for snow. Perhaps it'll be stronger than the models have shown.
So wishing for snow.
