    The main event was the organized coastal low. Yesterday's heavy rain was due to a compact vort max that enhanced lift, and also a localized frontal boundary that set up near the bay. Will probably see mostly hit or miss convection over the next couple days, then maybe a more widespread area of rain later Thursday with a cold front attempting to move through.

    Picked up 0.09 inches of rain so far today, 0.04'' in the small cell that just passed over me. 

    79/79, RH 99%. Downright muggy

    Sunset 10 minutes earlier than a month ago. One small step closer to winter, hope we get buried.

    The National Weather Service in Sterling Virginia has issued a

* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for...
  Southeastern Prince Georges County in central Maryland...
  Northeastern Charles County in southern Maryland...

* Until 215 PM EDT.

* At 144 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located near Waldorf,
  moving north at 45 mph.

  HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts.

  SOURCE...Radar indicated.

  IMPACT...Damaging winds will cause some trees and large branches
           to fall. This could injure those outdoors, as well as
           damage homes and vehicles. Roadways may become blocked by
           downed trees. Localized power outages are possible.
           Unsecured light objects may become projectiles.

* Locations impacted include...
  Waldorf, Clinton, Forestville, La Plata, Upper Marlboro, Andrews
  Air Force Base, Camp Springs, Oxon Hill, Rosaryville, Friendly,
  Marlton, Temple Hills, Marlow Heights, Saint Charles, Accokeek,
