The thing is even if you cut these clown totals in half, which is likely, you still have a big storm!

Many a sad snow weenie has fallen into the "I think the models are overdoing the warming" trap!
If the globals were showing it like the HRRR, I would be more inclined to believe it.

The temperatures will only drop if the precipitation is falling at a heavy enough rate for a sustained period of time. As soon as that lets up or stops, then temperatures go right back up.
Yes during the day, but not at night when the heavier precip will be falling.

Don't think the HRRR is correct on warming the temps like that.... when the precip falls, that will cool it down, which is not what the HRRR is doing...

past 2 hrrr runs have really warmed for much of nc for tomorrow.
Thats a valid point, but curious as to why it's doing that.

GFS not going to get it done.... So far we have the NAM and GFS with very weak if at all a system.... If Euro confirms, I'd say this might be a GFS win
-
Is the NAM missing moisture? It just all of a sudden disappears?

NAM out to 22 looks closer to 18z than the big 12z run
Seems like the big trends for a bigger system are about out the door unfortunately.

Out to 27 GFS may be more suppressed than 12Z run..
Thats the trend right now... suppressed and more east.... doesnt look like this will be what we were hoping for.
