A few weeks... Erie went from a record warm temp on the 13th to below average 10 days later on the 23rd. This cold snap took off 14 degrees over a 19 day time window.

WOW! 6 waterspouts in the same photo! Impressive!!! .

Apparently NWS is saying this tornado was previously a waterspout that came though Buffalo Harbor, lifted up for 10 minutes but maintained rotation and touched back down again. Last year we had a lot of these funnel clouds move over land and get spotted. But this is the first time I think I’ve ever heard of one setting back down. .

Crazy storms this afternoon! Possible tornado!? Check out this wind damage in West Seneca... Large portion of an apartment building roof was ripped off! Several trees downed in the neighborhood as well... .

Top of the 219 in Colden an inch plus of graupel accumulated on the roadway. Passed two cars in the ditch. .

Wind is crazy tonight! House is rattling! Gusts to 47mph last hour at KBUF! Gusting over 40 for 4 straight hours now... Nice seeing the lake response firing up .

Anyone on Facebook I recommend you following Kevin Williams... TV met in ROC he does daily Facebook live segments and really goes geek deep into some topics. Lately he has been showing the various international long range winter models and dissecting them... Today he touched on the NOAA outlook and said they favor the warm biased models and he thinks its directly the result of the first half of October showing well below average snowfall in Siberia. He doesn’t buy the solution fully verifying... Anyways some great material to watch/listen too... .

These storms are rocking it out tonight. Impressive thunder and lightning here and I’m no where near the main line of storms. FFW for southern Erie county. Still a lot of rain to come though.... could be 3-4” totals possible by end of the night. .

I just had a lighting alert on my phone saw that radar... WOW impressive. You look like your gonna get crushed those storms are coming right down the tracks... If those do train could be some flooding issue in your area. .

I think we got one here! Great line to track that gust front is plowing right across the lake and very well defined on radar. Crazy it went from full sun to dark as night in 15 minutes... .

Nice line of storms gonna try and punch the lake shadow... Lets see what happens! lol... Pretty nice gust front just blew out ahead of the line... .

Heavy downpours during the dead of the night with no convection.... Yawn... Just getting tired heavy rain and severe storm forcast calls that never pan out for BUF this summer. I honestly don't think we had one real good thunderstorm this year.

Tornado Warning for Allegheny State Park area! Go figure that nice looking line broke apart right before it hit BUF metro... maybe some sloppy seconds later tonight? .

And 24 hours later the model precip output changes look familiar... Yup... VERY FAMILIAR... .

Wind Direction! Not sure which day you are referring to but both Saturday and Sunday had a fairly constant and very unusual NE wind flow which would certainly lower the lake level on our end! .

Finally got something! She's been roaring up the lake with a ton of thunder this morning. Warning up real early with this one. .

I'm telling you it just refuses to rain in the metro this summer. Had some hope on those cells moving north but they fizzled out like everything else has... don't think we've had a single true thunderstorm once so far this summer here. Did catch a nice rainbow though... .
